Our Reason
​Since 2023, the Emersynn Isla Shining Star Foundation has supported over 120 families navigating the tender journey of palliative or hospice care with their child. Our foundation was created in honor of Emersynn, our little shining star who filled our lives with joy and light. Her loving spirit continues to guide our work as we strive to share love and light in her memory. We are committed to supporting children and their families during tender and difficult times. Above all, we believe every child deserves to feel special, cherished, and able to shine in their own unique way.
A Letter from Emersynn's Mommy & Daddy
​​​​As fellow parents who have walked a similar path, we want to reach out to you with compassion and understanding. We know that receiving a life-limiting diagnosis for your child can be overwhelming and isolating, filled with a range of emotions that can be difficult to navigate.

​​First and foremost, please know that you are not alone. The journey you are on is shared by many of us, and while each family’s experience is unique, the feelings of uncertainty, fear, and hope are universal. Having a child with a life-limiting condition brings unique difficulties, from managing medical care to balancing moments of joy and sorrow. Cherish the moments, celebrate the wins, and hold onto the love that binds your family together. Your dedication is truly remarkable, and your child is fortunate to have you as their advocate and caregiver.​​​
